Entries in this section may be classified as public or private institutions and come from open sources and media reports. We are including institutions where women have ONLY served as leaders in an interim or acting capacity because our definition of an institution “run by a woman” is limited to those where she was elected or appointed in a deliberate process and given the mandate to serve a full term in office.
